Itinerary

The Chitwan National Park Jungle Safari tour begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan. Our representatives will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning, and then we will begin the drive. Soon after leaving the city, the road starts to follow the Trishuli River valley.

As the drive continues, we will experience the air growing warmer, and the landscape starts to flatten. The hills gradually give way to the open plains of the Terai. After roughly 5 to 6 hours on the road, you reach Chitwan and check into your lodge near Chitwan National Park.

The rest of the afternoon will be all yours. You can either choose to walk around the nearby village or simply relax at the lodge after the long drive. Later in the evening, the Himalayan Ice Cap's guides give you a short introduction about the upcoming jungle activities and how the safari days will unfold.


Mornings in Chitwan tend to start early, mainly because wildlife is most active before the day heats up. So, we headed into the Chitwan National Park after breakfast, accompanied by the experienced naturalist guides.

Today's highlight? None other than the jeep safari through the forest. The jeep goes through tall elephant grass, patches of sal forest, and open riverbanks where animals often gather. If we are lucky enough, we might also spot the famous one-horned rhinoceros grazing quietly in the grasslands.
